RPN Steward | Lead Custodian/Convenor | Cheeky Evolutionary Operator: Tyler Key

Tyler here. I'm the lead custodian/convenor (or Cheeky Evolutionary Operator) of Regen Places Network.

Before I got here.... I was a Sandwich Artist, Fitness Coach, Lecturer, Facilitator, Consultant, Learning Manager, Program Manager

Visiting Raptor Domain Kangaroo Island while facilitator Outdoor Education in 2023

At the core of my work has always been about supporting others to get where they want to go, when they might not get there alone.

I do this by creating the conditions for people to:

  • connect with care
  • create shifts in perspective
  • develop their capacity and capability to see the potential of living world
  • create the aliveness they want to see

So that we collectively work towards regeneration of
ourselves, our communities and our Mother Earth - with no being left behind.
When you have lived in 7 countries
by the age of 14

embracing diversity is the way of life.

Funnily enough,

embracing diversity is the only way we will unlock our living world's collective potential

How do we learn to work across difference? Exposure and Time.
It took a long time to find a place that makes sense for me.

A gathering of over 100 diverse humans who care for our living world in Adelaide - https://sagrassroots.org/

It took a long time to find a place that makes sense for me, here a bit of that journey for me:

  • Sept 2019: 80,000 people protest in Sydney at the School Strike. I knew I needed to spend my time differently rather than enabling "entrepreneurial" students to create another app while the world burns
  • Oct 2019: Spent a weekend on Country with Yuin Elder Uncle Max - and then I REALLY knew I needed to spend my time differently.
  • March 2020: UnPRecEDented>?!? (lol) COVID times began.
  • 2021: I complete and Introduction to Regenerative Design. Still having to stick COVID tests up my nose (thank you science).
  • 2022: Regen Sydney has their first in-person event, I quit my PhD in Men's Health and join the team for 6 months before I got offered a job in Adelaide.
  • 2023: Start The Regenerative Practitioner Course by Regenesis...and quit the job I moved to Adelaide so I could take a career break, ended up being an Outdoor Education Facilitator
  • 2024: Willow asks me to co-convene Regen Places Network with her to build the Regenerative Field
  • Nov 2024: The field trips begin to activate the regenerative field
  • Dec 2024: We launch the Bioregional Institute
  • Mar 2025: Story of Place Starts in Queanbeyan

Outside of Regen and Learning work you can probably find me in a handstand, or at the gym either coaching or lifting 🤩. I recently helped setup a gym at a beautiful yoga studio in Adelaide that gives back to nature and a great example of a regenerative business - HumanKind.Studio
